Handling

• RIDER AND MACHINE BECOME ONE: Everything built in and around the lightweight chassis of the Z650 motorcycle is designed to become an extension of the rider.
• RESPONSIVE & BALANCED: The unique gull-arm style swingarm provides space for an under-engine exhaust for a lower center of gravity and improved handling. A horizontal back-link rear suspension offers an ideal balance of sport-riding performance and casual riding comfort. The telescopic front fork is a part of a balanced suspension package, tuned to provide progressive damping with a high level of feedback to the rider.
• FULLY ADJUSTABLE: For added comfort, both clutch and brake levers are 5-way adjustable to accommodate a variety of hand sizes.
• LIGHTWEIGHT & CAPABLE: The overall light weight of the Z650 motorcycle comes thanks to a lightweight trellis frame with a low center of gravity for light handling and confident low-speed maneuvering. *The Z650 is a significant 44.1 lbs. lighter than its European counterpart. This results in lighter more responsive handling for the Z650.
• EXTREME GRIP: Dunlop Sportmax Roadsport 2 tires—made of high-performance rubber—boost handling and provide optimum grip.

Power & Performance

• POWERFUL & SMOOTH: A strong, torquey engine and lightweight chassis contribute to the Z650 motorcycle’s sporty performance and versatility.
• SPORTY ENGINE PERFORMANCE: Raw power comes from a modern parallel-twin 649cc engine that packs strong torque and strong mid-range acceleration well suited for sport riding.
• ASSIST & SLIPPER: An Assist and Slipper clutch provides a lighter feel at the lever and a back-torque limiting function that helps prevent rear-wheel hop during more aggressive downshifts.

Z 50th Anniversary

• Z650 50TH ANNIVERSARY: Kawasaki celebrates the 50th anniversary of the iconic Z motorcycle with the 50th Anniversary Edition of the Z650. The "Firecracker Red" paint scheme, similar to that of the 1981 Z flagship Z1100GP that pushed the limits of air-cooled high performance makes its return. This limited-production model features unique anniversary edition styling and comes with a special coffee table book commemorating 50 years of the Z brand.
• CELEBRATE THE DETAILS: Paying homage to the dominant Kawasaki machines of the 1980s, this 50th anniversary edition model features specially blended paint in heritage colors of Firecracker Red with dark blue and silver highlights as well as a commemorative Z 50th anniversary logo on the front fender and premium gold finished emblems. Further distinguishing these models is a black frame finish, special textured seat leather, and red wheels with silver pinstripes. The Z brand's 50-year pursuit of the ultimate riding excitement, passed from generation to generation, now vividly adorns these Z supernaked models.

• SLEEK & BOLD: The sharp Z pattern of the Z650 motorcycle’s taillight (brake light) deliver a bold statement every time it lights up.

• USEFUL INFORMATION AT A GLANCE: 4.3-inch all-digital TFT (thin-film transistor) color instrumentation gives the cockpit a high-tech, high-grade appearance and visibility. The screen’s background color is selectable (black or white), and screen brightness adjusts automatically to suit available light. Display functions include: digital speedometer, digital bar-style tachometer, gear position indicator, shift lamp, fuel gauge, odometer, dual trip meters, current and average fuel consumption, remaining range, average speed, total time, coolant temperature, clock, battery voltage, Kawasaki service reminder, oil change reminder and the Kawasaki Economical Riding Indicator.
